Need Art Inspiration? Take the #blendartchallenge

Staring at a blank page and can’t think of what to draw? We’ve all been there! The #blendartchallenge was created to inspire you to get creative and draw a random prompt that challenges you to blend a descriptive word with a noun into one cohesive composition.

How to do the #blendartchallenge:

Using the prompt key below, simply use your birthday to get your drawing prompt of 2 random words. Creatively blend your two words into one composition using any art tool of your choice. When finished, share your work by posting it with the #blendartchallenge.

*Hey teachers! Below is printable flyer and artist worksheet available for purchase that you can use with your classes to easily implement this art challenge into your class curriculum. This is a great lesson to build creative thinking skills with your student artists and can also be used for a ready-to-go sub plan!*

Tips for working with your two blended words

  • Look up the meanings of the words in the dictionary for variations of interpretations. Our first thoughts may be limiting.
